Sunday Sessions

Sunday 6th October from 2pm at iTi

Independent artist, Stu J will be playing vibrant solo sounds all afternoon. Set list includes the likes of Oasis, Jack Johnson, The Killers, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Eddie Grant, Bob Marley, Ben Harper, Fleetwood Mac, and Dragon, just to name a few.

Drop on in and be entertained for the afternoon.

Friends Exploring Epic Tales

Friday 11th October from 1pm at Te Atatū Peninsula Library

Friends Exploring Epic Tales is a FREE whānau friendly show at Te Atatū Peninsula Library performed by Hand Pulled Collective. The rambunctious and dysfunctional travelling trio, ambushing audiences with fairy tales while squabbling over the best way to tell them. The titular friends are Dinghy, Ryan, and Garge who all have a tale to tell.

Creative Spring Fairy Workshop

Tuesday 8th October 10am-12pm at The Shed Collective

Enjoy an enchanting craft workshop where you and your little one can create your very own fairy space you can use to summon The Fairies. In this two-hour workshop, you and your child will delve into the world of fairies as you design and craft your own miniature fairy realm.

Harakeke Tikanga and Techniques

Sunday 13th October 10:30-12:30pm at Eco Matters, New Lynn

Join Nat Rose Te Hei in this fun weaving workshop on the last day of the school holidays. Participants will learn to weave a natural harakeke bracelet, tīpare (headband) and putiputi (flower). These make special gifts for friends or whanaū. Suitable for ages 9 years old to adults

Music Saturdays

Saturday 5th October 2-5pm at The Goodhome Lincoln Rd

Join us on Saturday afternoon for some live music with Jasper Hawkins to entertain you. Playing a mix of classics and top 40 hits, he’s got you covered with all your favourites.
On Saturdays, we have all-day pitcher deals, Happy Hour from 4-6pm and a great kids menu so all the family can come along and enjoy the music.

The Trusts 37th Art Exhibition

Saturday 5th October – Sunday 13th October 10am-4pm at Corban Estate Arts Centre

Waitakere Arts is proud to be hosting the Trusts 37th Art Award Exhibition in October. We have the privilege of awarding over $17,000 in prizes to our participating artists.

We generally have around 300-400 entries with a good range of various styles and mediums. All the artwork goes up for sale and entry to the public is free.

Open Arts Day

Saturday 12th October 11-3pm at Corbans Estate Art Centre

Join us for a vibrant day of art, creativity, and community at the Corban Estate Arts Centre’s Open Arts Day on Saturday, 12th October. From 11am to 3pm, visitors are invited to immerse themselves in a range of cultural experiences, explore our creative spaces, and connect with local artists.

UB40 – Red Red Wine Tour

Thursday 10th October from 7pm at The Trusts Arena

Join the legendary pop icons UB40 and special guest Eagle-Eye Cherry for the party of all parties when the world’s biggest-selling reggae group brings their RED RED WINE Tour to New Zealand this October. Performing their worldwide hit singles such as Red Red Wine, Food For Thought, (I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You, along with a preview of fresh tracks from their upcoming album UB45, including the smash hit single Gimme Some Kinda Sign and Forever True.
