Starting over in a new country is tough, especially when everyday tasks like talking to your childs school or booking a doctors appointment feel out of reach. Thats where English Language Partners New Zealand comes in.

From their New Lynn base, they run free English classes for migrants, former refugees and asylum seekers across The West and Central Auckland, helping more than 700 learners this term alone.

A $20,000 grant from the Your West Support Fund is helping cover the rental costs of their New Lynn office and classrooms, so classes can keep running for the 310 students enrolled locally this term.

As learner Chaolan says, I can talk more, and I am a little bit more confident. Ka pai to the whole team for helping new Kiwis find their voice.

This September you can help keep that wraparound care going strong, and all it takes is a cuppa and a few bikkies. Dunk it for Plunket is as easy as signing up online and hosting a morning or afternoon tea with friends, whānau or workmates.
