Community Support Donation

Who can apply

Organisations eligible to apply for assistance from Donations are:

• Charities, incorporated societies, educational institutions e.g. clubs, schools, and community organisations that benefit The West.

You will need to fill in the online application form in Fluxx and supply a few details. Please ensure that you have a copy of your organisation’s bank deposit slip or a bank statement header that includes the account name and number. This must show the organisation’s name as the account holder.

The money you receive can be used for operational costs, new initiatives, or events supporting The West.

Exclusions:

• Initiatives that are outside of The Trusts boundaries
• Retrospective applications i.e. where the initiative being considered for support has already been completed or purchased
• Promotion of a religious or political message (however, we do fund faith- based community services)
• Travel or accommodation
• Individuals (including sponsorships or scholarships)
• Applications from sub-groups of entities (such as jubilee committees, men’s, women’s, or junior sections). The main entity or governing body of each organisation must be the applicant
• Industry, commercial or professional network groups
• Corporate social clubs
• School carparks, entrance ways, staff areas and staff equipment
• Alcohol
• Purchase of food for food banks
• Endowments, capital funds, whānau and family trusts other trust funds
• Contribution to debt reduction

We welcome you to publicly acknowledge this donation in your newsletter or post about it on your group’s social sites.

Our official logos are available for use by applicants when requested.
