Your West Support Fund recipients for May 2026!
In 2026, the Your West Support Fund delivered $1,236,881 across 73 community organisations in The West. This is our largest-ever Support Fund allocation, with 73 recipients sharing in a fund that backs the everyday mahi keeping our communities strong.
The Support Fund is built for one-off grants up to $20,000, helping local groups cover the costs of projects, operations, and equipment so they can keep doing what they do best. This year, 59% of recipients received the maximum $20,000 grant, with the remaining funding spread across smaller, targeted contributions to specific projects and needs.
This year’s recipients span every corner of The West, from Bethells to New Lynn, Henderson to Avondale, Rānui to Hobsonville. The funding supports everything from surf rescue equipment and community gardens to youth mentoring, refugee English classes, kaupapa Māori wellbeing programmes, environmental restoration, and family violence support services.
Around 40% of funded organisations are working with children, young people, and whānau, reflecting one of the strongest themes across this year’s round. Community Wellbeing accounts for the largest share of funding at 42%, followed by Social Services (16%), Environment (10%), and Culture and Arts (9%).
We’re grateful to every organisation that applied, and proud to back the 73 making it happen across The West.
