ANZAC Day holds deep significance across Aotearoa, bringing people together to honour service, sacrifice, and shared history. In Titirangi, the local RSA sits right at the heart of that tradition, and this year they wanted to make sure every member of their community could be part of the commemorations, no matter their circumstances.
Titirangi RSA is a long-standing community hub, a place where members, whānau and locals gather in support, friendship and remembrance. For the team there, ensuring all members could take part in this year’s day of remembrance was a priority. Not everyone is able to make it to the service in person, and they didn’t want anyone to miss out.
The Trusts was proud to support Titirangi RSA with the cost of installing an audio-visual system to live stream the ANZAC Day Service directly into the RSA clubrooms. The setup meant members who couldn’t attend in person could still watch the ceremony as it happened, share the moment with others, and stay part of the occasion.
It’s a practical project with a meaningful outcome. By reducing barriers to participation, the initiative helped foster inclusivity, ease social isolation, and keep people connected to one another and to a tradition that matters deeply.
As Titirangi RSA shared “The RSA is at the heart of our community, bringing people together in support and remembrance. This sponsorship helped us extend that connection beyond our clubrooms, allowing members of our community to be part of the service through a live stream, even if they couldn’t attend in person.”
The ANZAC Day Service continues to be a cornerstone community event in Titirangi, bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds. Supporting access to this tradition not only honours those who have served, it also reinforces a shared sense of identity and belonging across The West.
For The Trusts, supporting initiatives like this is part of a wider commitment to connected, resilient and thriving neighbourhoods. When local organisations like the RSA find new ways to include everyone, the whole community feels it.
