Your West Support Fund recipients for April 2025!
In March 2025, The Portage Licensing Trust and Waitākere Licensing Trust (The Trusts) confirmed the recipients of the latest Your West Support Fund and Your West Innovation Fund.
The Trusts is excited to announce that 47 organisations have been granted their share of $750,000 through Your West Support Fund.
Under the framework, the funding backs projects and organisations that will contribute to positive long-term change in The West. The grants concentrate on initiatives that support or are led by communities experiencing inequity in The Trusts’ region. The goal is to enable everyone to access opportunities, resources, networks, and support that enable people to do well on their terms.
“We’re incredibly proud to support the mahi of local organisations who are making a real difference across our region. This latest funding round reflects our continued focus on community impact, and we’re thrilled to be part of such a meaningful progress” says Marcus Amosa, President of Portage Licensing Trust.
Linda Cooper, President of the Waitākere Licensing Trust goes on “This $1.1 million funding round is a testament to the value of the Trust model – reinvesting directly into the people, places, and projects that make West Auckland thrive”
CEO of The Trusts, Allan Pollard, acknowledges the unique position of The Trusts. “We are privileged to be in a position where we can directly distribute our surplus profits to the West Auckland community. This investment represents our commitment to tangible, community-driven progress and the empowerment of local initiatives.”
