Youth development charity Zeal is meeting vulnerable rangatahi where they already are in malls, parks, and transport hubs across West Auckland.

Through its Street Youth Work project, trained youth workers build trusted relationships with young people aged 16+, support their well-being, and connect them with services like counselling, food support, and emergency housing while Friday nights at Zeal West Auckland’s Henderson centre offer a safe space to belong and grow.

After losing funding from Oranga Tamariki, a $20,000 grant from the 2025 Your West Support Fund helped keep the programme running and attract further backing.

Want to connect? Find the Street Youth Workers at 14 Railside Avenue on Friday afternoons.
