Tucked in behind the old vineyard buildings at 2 Mt Lebanon Lane in Te Kōpua Henderson, Corban Estate Arts Centre is one of those places plenty of people in The West have driven past without quite realising what is going on inside. The answer is a lot. The site is home to working artists and a cluster of arts organisations, all quietly getting on with making things.

On Saturday 7 November, from 10am to 4pm, they are opening the doors so everyone can have a look. Open Arts Day 2026 is a chance to see behind the scenes of the creative community that lives and works right in the middle of Henderson.

Onsite artists and arts organisations will be welcoming visitors into their studios. Alongside that there are gallery and pop-up exhibitions to explore, artist talks running throughout the day, and free art-making for anyone who wants to stop thinking about art and start doing some.

As the team at Corban Estate Arts Centre put it, whether you are an artist, an art enthusiast, or just curious, come along to get inspired and discover the creativity thriving in our neighbourhood.

All ages are welcome, the grounds are great for a wander, and when the tamariki need refuelling the Coffee Studio café and a selection of 5 Star Eats food vendors will be on site serving coffee and lunch.

The Trusts is proudly community-owned, so helping spread the word about what is happening across our neighbourhoods is part of the job. This one is worth putting in the calendar.
