For the first time ever, world-class international tennis is coming to The West as New Zealand takes on Japan in the prestigious Davis Cup. The Trusts is proud to be an official sponsor of this event to ensure the benefits of the tournament are felt directly by our local community.

The Kiwi and Japanese men’s teams will battle it out over two action-packed days at The Trusts Arena in Henderson on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September.

This sponsorship from The Trusts will directly benefit more than 40,000 West Aucklanders through some amazing community perks:

Meet the stars: On Tuesday 15 September, local school kids and club players get to step onto the court to meet the international players.

Cheaper tickets: Discounted youth tickets will make it easier for families to go to the matches together.

Local jobs and skills: Local youth are being trained to get involved as ball kids and event volunteers.

The tournament is a massive win for the local economy. It will inject over $150,000 directly into West Auckland businesses and suppliers, while showcasing our region to a global audience of over five million people.

Tennis New Zealand CEO Julie Paterson says the partnership is driven by a shared vision for the region.

“We’re delighted to partner with The Trusts to bring the Davis Cup to The Trusts Arena for the first time,” says Paterson. “Their commitment to making the event accessible, engaging local young people, and investing in the West Auckland community aligns with what we’re trying to achieve. We’re excited to create an event the whole community can be proud of.”

The Trusts CEO Allan Pollard adds, “West Auckland belongs on the global stage and we’re excited to bring this world-class event out West and to give our local kids the chance of a lifetime to share the court with the pros.”
