On 1 May, Olympic Park came alive as a couple of hundred young footballers aged 4 to 8 kicked off their season with Bay Olympic. The energy and exuberance of these kids was something special to see. There’s nothing quite like watching young tamariki from The West getting active, enjoying the game, and building skills that’ll stay with them for life.
With support from the Supporter’s Club at The Taphouse in Avondale, Bay Olympic has been able to create a wonderful night for their youngest players. It’s this kind of grassroots mahi that helps build strong, healthy communities right here in The West. From first kicks to future stars, Bay Olympic is giving local kids the chance to play, learn, and grow in a supportive environment.
Here’s to a fantastic season ahead for all our young footballers.
