Matuku Link have come a long way from their first our open day. What began with just a couple of stalls has transformed into a fully fledged Wetland Festival where last Sunday the team celebrated World Wetlands Day with sunny skies, coffee, sausages and over six hundred visitors, volunteers and stall holders.
This day was made possible thanks to the incredible mahi of the amazing volunteers who did all the baking, shop managing, cake selling, games, car parking, walking tours, welcoming, sausage sizzling , showing the eels, picture taking and entertaining… plus everything else that needed doing!
A donation by Greenfields Bar from The Trusts Supporters Club Fund ensured there was enough food to keep the volunteers fueled up for the day!
