Hihiko! by Te Pou Theatre brought together around 35 rangatahi for an inspiring, fun-filled event that truly lived up to its name.

The energy was electric as young people gathered to learn, share, and connect in a space designed just for them.

What was Hihiko!?

Hihiko! was more than just an event; it was a movement.

• Free and accessible for all rangatahi

• Organised and delivered by rangatahi, for rangatahi

• A welcoming space where young creatives could access advice and feedback from industry advisors

• A thought-provoking panel session on mental health and wellbeing in the arts, featuring Luke Orbell (facilitator), Kasina Campbell, Hāmiora Bailey, and Cherie Moore

• A lively quiz night with free pizza and inu, hosted by comedians Janaye Henry and Bailey Poching

• Emerging creatives in acting, dance, music, production, comedy, theatre, tech, and more

Why was Hihiko! special?
