With generous support from Waitakere Licensing Trusts Supporters Fund (thanks Hanger Bar!) all female Latina artists Sur-Collective hosted Dia de las Velitas (Day of the Little Candles) on 5th December at Corban Estate Arts Centre.
Dia de las Velitas is a beautiful Colombian tradition seeing whānau and friends come together to celebrate the year that was and set intentions for the coming year while lighting a candle.
Dia de las Velitas was celebrated this year alongside two new exhibition openings in estates Homestead Galleries, by sharing delicious kai, music, and of course lighting little candles from dusk into the dark.
