The Glen Eden Playhouse Theatre recently hosted a special evening to honour two remarkable individuals, Janet Clews and Alan Burrows, whose passion, creativity, and decades of service have left a lasting mark on the local arts community.
Janet and Alan have been pillars of the Glen Eden Playhouse Theatre (GEPT), dedicating countless hours to the theatre and the local arts community, fostering a love for the performing arts in generations of West Aucklanders. Their leadership, warmth, and unwavering commitment have shaped the theatre into the vibrant community hub it is today. As part of the celebration, both Janet and Alan were honoured with plaques placed on seats within the theatre, a fitting tribute to their lasting legacy.
The Trusts was proud to support this heartfelt event with product sponsorship, in recognition of Janet’s legacy, not only as a devoted champion of the arts but also as a past Trustee of The Trusts. Her contribution to both the arts and our wider West Auckland community continues to inspire us all. It was a night filled with laughter, memories, and appreciation, a true celebration of two people whose efforts remind us that community spirit and creativity go hand in hand.
Ngā mihi to the Glen Eden Playhouse Theatre team for hosting such a meaningful tribute.
