This July, the Massey Birdwood Settlers Association has reached an incredible milestone: 100 years of serving and connecting our community! Over the past century, the Association has been at the heart of Massey life, providing a place where people come together, celebrate, and support one another.
From its humble beginnings in 1925, when local settlers formed a group to improve life for their families, to today’s thriving community hub, the Association has played a vital role in shaping the character of our area. The centennial celebration was recently held at the historic Massey Birdwood Settlers Hall, where locals, past and present, gathered to honour this rich history. The event included speeches, photos from years gone by, and plenty of stories about the friendships and connections built over generations.
It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate not only the Association’s achievements, but also the people who have contributed so much time and care over the decades. The Massey Birdwood Settlers Association remains an important part of community life, hosting events, supporting local groups, and keeping that special sense of belonging alive. A century on, it’s clear that when people come together for the good of their community, amazing things can happen. Here’s to the next 100 years of connection, support, and community spirit in Massey!
