During 12–24 April 2025, a talented group of dancers from AWDA Rhythm ‘n’ Steps proudly represented Aotearoa as they took part in the prestigious She Shines On Dance Tour. This international experience was more than just a tour—it was a dream come true for these young performers, many of whom come from low-income families.
For these dancers, the journey to the stage was as challenging as it was inspiring. Raising the funds to cover travel, uniforms, and costume requirements placed a significant financial strain on many families. We were proud to step in, with support via our Supporters Club to help cover the cost of new uniforms and costumes so the dancers could focus on what they do best—performing with passion and pride.
The AWDA Rhythm ‘n’ Steps team recently shared photos with us showcasing their stunning new uniforms and costumes. The joy on their faces and the pride in their presentation are reminders of how much this opportunity meant to them—and how community support can make a lasting difference.
