The Auckland Disc Golf Club, with NZDG, RPM Discs, and the PDGA, hosted NZ’s first national junior disc golf event between March 29th and April 13th, 2025. This nationwide initiative aimed to boost junior participation and offer national competition without travel burdens, awarding both national and local divisional winners.
The Auckland leg of this nationwide event took place on Sunday, April 6th, 2025, at the scenic Henderson Park. The atmosphere at Henderson Park was electric, with young players showcasing impressive skills and a genuine love for the sport. Despite it being the first day of daylight saving, a fantastic turnout of 25 enthusiastic junior players under the age of 18 participated alongside over 60 supportive adults. A highlight was one player achieving two consecutive holes-in-one!
The Trusts and The Hangar Bar were proud to help support this event through our Supporters Club. The successful day saw over 60 adults join the fun.
