As the year comes to a close, we want to shine a spotlight on one of our incredible grant recipients, Woven Earth. Their tireless dedication to supporting families is nothing short of life-changing and they have achieved extraordinary milestones, making a profound impact on our community.
To date, Woven Earth has furnished an average of four homes every single week. That’s 758 loving homes, positively impacting the lives of over 1,483 children and empowering thousands of survivors to take their first steps toward living free from violence. These aren’t just numbers – they represent real people in our community who have endured unimaginable challenges to break the cycle of family violence.
The stories emerging from Woven Earth’s work are nothing short of inspiring. In a home they recently furnished, a mother’s older daughter shared how she hadn’t seen her mum so positive and happy since the abuse that permanently disabled her over six months ago.
These heartfelt messages from families served by Woven Earth stand as undeniable proof of the life-changing impact of their work. One story that resonates deeply involves a young girl who, upon seeing her furnished bedroom, turned to her mother and said, “I thought this kind of thing only happened in the movies.” Moments like these remind us of the profound difference Woven Earth makes every day.
This holiday season, Woven Earth extended its support by bringing extra magic to 10 families in need. They provided Christmas presents, trees, and much-needed cheer to brighten what might otherwise have been a difficult time.
One recipient, a mother who has followed Woven Earth’s journey since they furnished their second home in 2018, is still waiting for a home of her own. When she secures it, Woven Earth is ready to step in and furnish it with love. Overcome with gratitude and relief, she shared through tears, “Woven Earth truly are amazing.”
We are proud to support Woven Earth’s mission and how they help to transform lives. The impact is tangible, heartfelt, and deeply transformative. Together, we are changing lives and building brighter futures for families in our community.
