From November 15–17, 2024, Camp Enchanted buzzed with excitement as 57 girls from across The West came together for the GirlGuiding NZ NorthWest Team Camp. Participants included Waitākere Pippins, Brownies, and Guides, Kumeu Brownies and Rangers, Helensville Pippins and Guides, and Te Onekiritea (Hobsonville) Pippins, Brownies, Guides, and Rangers.

The camp offered the girls a chance to explore bushcraft skills like shelter building and to engage in Adventure-Based Learning team sports. Despite a touch of drizzle, spirits remained high as the girls embraced the outdoors, unplugging from technology to try new experiences in a supportive, girls-only environment.

The impact of the weekend was clear, with visible boosts in confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills. The girls supported one another, built deep friendships, and demonstrated initiative throughout the camp.

A heartfelt thank-you goes out to The Trusts’ Supporters Club and Miss Q’s (now Greenfields) for their generous funding. Their support enabled the inclusion of specialist instructors who provided unique outdoor adventure activities the girls would not normally experience.

This unforgettable weekend reminded everyone of the power of connection, growth, and adventure in shaping young leaders of tomorrow.
