Battle of the Bartenders 2026 – Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter
The promotion is run by The Trusts (West Auckland Trust Services), 1/703 Rosebank Rd, Avondale, Auckland , New Zealand.

2. Promotion Period
The promotion runs from 1 April 2026 to 30 April 2026 (the “Promotion Period”). Entries must be submitted before 11:59pm on 30 April 2026 to be eligible.

3. Eligibility
The promotion is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years and over. The following are not eligible to enter:

Employees and board members of West Auckland Trust Services (WATS), Waitakere Licensing Trust (WLT), and Portage Licensing Trust (PLT)
Employees of Cardrona Distillery
Members of the immediate household of any of the above

4. How to Enter
To enter, participants must:

Purchase any Battle of the Bartenders featured cocktail or alcohol-free mocktail version at a participating venue during the Promotion Period, OR submit a free entry in accordance with clause 5; AND
Complete the online vote at https://forms.gle/fhgBVHmgHkziYKPq9 during the Promotion Period.

Each eligible entry (purchase + vote, or free entry + vote) constitutes one entry into the draw. Multiple entries are permitted, limited to one entry per venue visit per day.

5. No Purchase Necessary
No purchase is necessary to enter. To enter without purchase, participants may submit a free postal entry by sending their full name, date of birth, phone number, and email address to: 1/703 Rosebank Rd, Avondale, Auckland , New Zealand. Free entries must be received by 30 April 2026. Free entries carry equal weight to purchase-based entries.

6. Prize
One (1) prize will be awarded, comprising:

Return flights for two (2) people from Auckland to Queenstown (economy class)
Two (2) nights’ accommodation in Queenstown (standard room, accommodation provider at the promoter’s discretion)
One (1) VIP distillery tour for two people at Cardrona Distillery, Cardrona Valley
Return transfers between Queenstown and Cardrona Distillery

The prize has an approximate total value of $2,000 NZD. The prize is not transferable, not redeemable for cash, and cannot be split.

7. Prize Travel Window
Travel must take place between 20 July 2026 and 25 September 2026 inclusive. Specific dates are subject to availability and must be agreed between the winner and The Trusts within 14 days of notification. Failure to confirm travel dates within this period may result in forfeiture of the prize.

All bookings made on behalf of the winner are final and will not be rescheduled by The Trusts. Any alterations to prize bookings after confirmation are the sole responsibility of the winner and will be made at the winner’s expense. The Trusts accept no responsibility for any costs, losses, or consequences arising from alterations made to confirmed arrangements.

8. Exclusions
The prize does not include meals, travel insurance, spending money, transport to/from Auckland airport, or any other costs not specifically listed in clause 6. The promoter strongly recommends the winner obtains travel insurance.

9. Draw
The draw will take place on or around 1st of May 2026 at 1/703 Rosebank Rd, Avondale, Auckland , New Zealand. The draw is random. The winner will be contacted via the contact details provided at entry within 5 business days of the draw.

10. Winner Notification
The winner will be notified by phone and/or email. If the winner cannot be contacted within 5 business days of the first notification attempt, or if the winner is ineligible or declines the prize, a redraw will be conducted.

11. Privacy
Personal information collected through this promotion will be used solely for the purpose of administering the draw and awarding the prize. Information will not be shared with third parties except as required to facilitate the prize (e.g. flight and accommodation providers). The Trusts’ Privacy Policy applies. Participants may request access to or correction of their information by contacting info@thetrusts.co.nz

12. Marketing Communications
By entering this promotion, participants agree that The Trusts may use the email address provided at entry to send marketing communications, including information about upcoming events, promotions, and news from The Trusts and its venues. Participants may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting [email address]. This is in accordance with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.

13. General Conditions

The promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants and to disqualify any entrant who provides false information or tampers with the entry process.
The promoter’s decision on all matters relating to this promotion is final.
The promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the promotion at any time if circumstances beyond its control make this necessary.
The promotion is subject to all applicable New Zealand laws and regulations, including the Gambling Act 2003 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.
Participation in this promotion constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

14. Responsible Service
The Trusts promotes the responsible sale and supply of alcohol. This promotion is available to persons aged 18 and over. The Trusts reserve the right to refuse service of alcohol for any reason. The purchase of alcohol is not required to enter — see clause 5.
