Our Schools
Since 2018/19, our school support programme has given back to several schools in The West.
The amount we give depends on a number of factors. In line with our funding strategy, we have applied an equity index as well as taking into account the roll size and the type of school. In 2023 alone, we donated more than $87,000 to 86 schools in our community to help support their end-of-year functions.
These cash contributions went towards helping with things that many schools would otherwise be unable to afford, such as scholarships, trophies, books, graduation ceremonies, stationery prizes, photos, Korowai cloaks, and even updating honours boards.
These items may seem small, but they mean a huge amount to the schools and students in our communities who benefit from them.
