Million Dollar Mission Is Back
We’re giving another one million dollars to schools, sports clubs, charities and community groups doing great things in West Auckland. If your community organisation has a project, we can help you pay for it.
That’s right Million Dollar Mission is back for its fourth edition. Over the last three years we have helped over 100 community groups achieve big things for West Auckland and we are looking forward to helping more great causes this year.
Applications open on the 19th of August 2019 and are made through the Million Dollar Mission website. Just tell us how much funding you need, what you need it for and provide a small amount of documentation to support your application.
Applications close on the 27th of September. A selection panel consisting of elected members from both Waitakere Licensing Trust & Portage Licensing Trust and independent well known members of the community will then select the applications they think will make the biggest impact on the communities they serve. The selected applications will be put forward to the public – who will vote on how one million dollars of funding from The Trusts gets allocated among these “finalists.”
Voting starts on the 22nd of October. Supporters of the finalists can vote once per day and every time they vote, we’ll give $5 of funding to the organisation they voted for – at no cost to the voter. Voting continues until $1m of funding has been allocated across all of the finalists.
