NZQA National Qualifications Available For Team Members
Here at The Trusts the learning & development of our people is something we consider to be an extremely important part of what we do. Our comprehensive training programmes give team members in our retail stores and hospitality venues the skills to deliver an excellent customer experience, which enables The Trusts to provide more support for the West Auckland community. For our team members, the training they receive gives them valuable skills which they can use in their careers in future (whether that is with The Trusts or not).
Retail Sales Professionals at The Trusts now can be awarded the National Certificate in Retail (Level 3). Not only will these team members get a NZQA recognised qualification, but it’s at no cost to them and all they need to do is complete their “Learning Pathway.”
The ‘learning pathway” is a mixture of learning which includes a variety of e-learning modules, workbooks and face-to-face training modules, designed to be completed within a team members first six months of working with The Trusts. Every role in our retail and hospitality businesses has its own learning pathway which includes relevant content.
Retail Sales Professionals at The Trusts can expect to learn everything from customer service skills, stock management and merchandising, product training to sales skills..We have developed a relationship with Service IQ an Industry Training Organisation (ITO) who administer and award the National Certificate in Retail (Level 3) qualification to team members of The Trusts who complete their learning pathways. We have worked together with Service IQ to ensure that the learning pathway for a Retail Sales Professional meets the needs of our business, as well as the required level for the National Certificate in Retail (Level 3) qualification.
We also offer the National Certificate in Cookery (Level 3) to our kitchen teams) We are currently looking at what we can do to help team members in other positions at The Trusts (such as Bar & Wait Staff and Retail Duty Managers) achieve a nationally recognised qualification through completing their learning pathway.
