West Auckland Licensing Trusts saddened by passing of Brian Corban
The employees, board directors and elected members of the West Auckland Licensing Trusts (the Trusts) are deeply saddened by the passing of long-serving former chairman, Brian Corban CNZM QSO.
“Brian was deeply loyal to and passionate about West Auckland. He served as Chairman of West Auckland Trust Services for more than 20 years and his governance and business expertise was instrumental in the Trusts being able to give back so much to the West Auckland community,” said Allan Pollard, CEO of the Trusts.
“Our condolences and thoughts are with his family at this very sad time.”
Mr Corban played a significant role in growing and modernising the Trusts during his tenure, enabling the Trusts to fund a huge range of projects and causes across West Auckland. Most recently, this included providing crucial support for local families and groups who were experiencing hardship as a result of COVID-19.
“Brian was a long-term force for good. His support of the Trusts, wise counsel and passion for the West Auckland community he served will be greatly missed,” said Tim Livingstone, acting Chairman of West Auckland Trust Services.
