School Holidays Welcome Community Heroes in Henderson

Want to entertain the children during the school holidays?

Head along to Henderson Heroes, a free family event at WestCity, Waitākere on Friday 29 September.

Tamariki can meet local community heroes and first responders at the Edsel Street entrance of the mall’s Oratia carpark. From 11 am to 2 pm, family-friendly activities, live music, face painting and food trucks will keep the whanau occupied.

A range of emergency vehicles and demonstrations will be featured. These include members of the police, St John, Fire and Emergency, Surf Lifesaving Northern Region, and Auckland Emergency Management.

There are also free first aid kits for the first 200 households thanks to The Trusts, along with the opportunity to give your community a boost. Write down your favourite charity in The West, at our marquee. Your chosen organisation will enter the draw to win a $1000 donation from The Trusts.
