Portage and Waitakere Licensing Trusts review 2019/20


At the end of September we will have the Annual Meeting of Electors for both the Waitakere and Portage Licensing Trusts.

The Annual Meeting of Electors is the chance for your elected members to go over the annual report and financials for the 2019/20 year. It is also your chance to attend, ask questions or comment on what both Trusts have done over the last year.

Every three years, you have the chance to vote in elected members to have a say on how the Trusts are governed. This is the first Annual Meeting of Electors since the last election, and an opportunity for you to connect with what has been happening.

2019/20 has been an eventful year for the Trusts.  We were the first hospitality organisation in New Zealand to be awarded the DVFree Tick – an independent certification of our support for our staff who are impacted by domestic violence. We provided more than a million dollars in support of West Auckland through our Million Dollar Mission in 2019. We also welcomed some new elected members for both Trusts, as well as fare welling Simon Wickham, CEO.

So far in 2020, we’ve welcomed new CEO Allan Pollard and finished the financial year just as the level four lockdown for COVID-19 started.

The elected members from both Portage and Waitakere Licensing Trust welcome you to attend their Annual Meeting of Electors, or the ordinary meeting that is being held afterwards.

The agenda will be posted on the website ahead of the meetings.

You can ask a question at any time or you can attend a monthly meeting.

  • The Annual Meeting of Electors for the Portage Licensing Trust will be held on Monday 28 September, at Bricklane from 6pm.
  • The Annual Meeting of Electors for the Waitakere Licensing Trust will be held on Tuesday 29 September at Quality Hotel Lincoln Green from 5pm.

Ordinary meetings for both Trusts will follow the Annual Meeting of Electors.
